Some Reminders for You During the Holidays...
Christmas might feel different this year… and that’s okay.
As we get older, the “holiday magic” we used to feel as kids starts to fade. This time of year can feel nostalgic, missing when life felt simpler.
When we weren’t stressed, feeling the weight of the world around us and the reality of surviving in a system that isn’t built for you.
The holidays look different for everyone, some of us feel joy, some feel loss, some feel a mix of both.
If you lost a loved one, that grief might feel even heavier… let yourself feel it. Share that grief with the people still here, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Protect your energy and give it to the people that deserve it. Choose your own peace… even if that means letting go of old expectations.
Spend time with the people who choose to show up for you. The ones that support you, respect you, and make you feel seen.
The holidays have a way of reminding us how precious time is and how fast things can change.
You deserve to hold onto the younger parts of you, while also being gentle with yourself about how things look now.
It’s okay to make new memories, start new traditions, or celebrate in a new place, it’s who you celebrate with that matters.
The holidays will continue to change as we get older, so just make sure you’re giving yourself space to change with them as they do.
