Amazing photoshoot locations in the CT, MA, and RI area!

Topsmead State Forest

Buell Road, Litchfield, CT 06759

This is a great location if you’re looking for open fields and long grass. There’s even a house in the back with multiple photo locations including a small garden and a great view of the beautiful fields in the backyard. Large parking area too. Perfect for any type of photoshoot!

Hearthstone Castle

18 Brushy Hill Rd, Danbury, CT 06810

This location is perfect for a mix of vibes. There’s a park with a gazebo area and beautiful backgrounds for cute lovely shots if it were a couple shoot. There’s also an abandoned castle in the back which is perfect for a different type of vibe. It’s about a 5 minute hike up to the castle which has loads of graffiti and cool locations for a shoot. The trees and woods on the way to the castle are another nice area for photos as well! There’s plenty of free parking near the park.

Wickham Park

1329 Middle Turnpike W, Manchester, CT 06040

This is one of the best local places in Central Connecticut for pretty photos. There’s multiple gardens, lots of flowers, and amazing pathways that are great for portrait and couples sessions. Sometime you may have to pay a small fee for parking depending on the day but it’s no more than $8.

Harkness Memorial State Park

275 Great Neck Rd, Waterford, CT 06385

This park has everything from a beach view, to colonial structures, to an open field, to a garden. There’s multiple photo locations that are perfect for portrait and couples sessions here! The parking lot is huge so there will be plenty of parking.

Harvey’s Beach

29 Plum Bank Rd Old Saybrook

Harvey’s Beach is a small local beach located in Old Saybrook, CT. There are multiple different settings ranging from long cattails, a small jetty on both sides of the beach, benches, etc. Not to mention the beautiful view of the sunset. I love this location because it’s more on the private side, so we won’t be bothered by too many people. It’s also perfect for the golden hour photos on the beach!

Ragged Mountain

Wigwam Road, Berlin, CT

Ragged Mountain is a beautiful trail (especially in the fall) right near my house in Berlin, CT. The backdrop is perfect if you’re looking for a simple forest background with trees, some mountains, and leaves. It’s great for editorial shoots outside too since the walk isn’t too far I can set up our set here with props and everything!

Abandoned Mill Factory

265 Old Gate Lane, Milford CT

This abandoned factory in Milford, CT is one of my favorites for some dope shoots. It’s covered in graffiti and there’s multiple locations that give off the grungy and urban aesthetic. It’s located right next to the Walmart, you just have to be careful when going and go at the right time depending on who’s around!

Sage Park

Suranna Dr, Berlin, CT 06037

Sage Park is a park in Berlin with a variety of fields and backdrops for all kinds of shoots ranging from soccer, football, baseball, softball, lacrosse, etc. There’s also a pond and multiple trails in the back for a different kind of vibe. Perfect for senior portraits for any athletes!

Hubbard Park

999 W Main St, Meriden, CT 06451

Hubbard Park is a convenient location for simple portrait sessions, couple sessions, or family sessions. There’s a few gazebos as well as small bridges for photos and in the winter they have Christmas Lights everywhere! There’s also a playground in the back and a lot of space for multiple locations and backdrops. Parking is free and there should be plenty of space around the park to park your car.

Elizabeth Park

1561 Asylum Ave, West Hartford, CT 06117

Elizabeth Park is another convenient location for simple portrait sessions, couple sessions, or family sessions. There’s a beautiful archway in the middle covered in roses that blooms in the spring. In addition, there’s a small bridge, benches, flowers, fields, a garden, and even some tennis courts in the back as well. There’s also plenty of parking on all sides of the park!

New Haven Train Station

99 Trinity St, Hartford, CT 06123

The Train Station in New Haven is perfect for some dope cinematic shots. It has a rooftop we could use for shots of the city in the back which works for both daytime and nighttime! We can also use the train-station itself inside for some other shots in front of the train, steps, escalator, etc. Definitely a solid place with a variety of backdrops to choose from day/night!

Millers Pond State Park

18 Ranger Road, Haddam CT 06438

There’s a huge lake here which is perfect for any water shoots or if you want a little bit of a forest backdrop with the lake in the back as well. Variety of backdrops at this location and it’s a scenic view too! You can easily go swimming in the water so it’s ideal if we needed you to get in the water for any shots!

Hidden Valley Preserve, Washington CT

198 Bee Brook Rd, Washington Depot, CT 06794

Hidden Valley Preserve is absolutely stunning. It’s one of my favorite spots in CT. Theres a bridge that is perfect for photos and then a nice short little trail to another bridge as well as a large forest for more photo ops. Theres a few tiny waterfalls and a river that we can use for shots too. Definitely great if you want an outdoorsy vibe with a variety of backdrops!

Train Tracks - Terryville

52 Canal St, Terryville, CT 06786

If you want specifically somewhere with train tracks where we don’t have to worry about getting run over by the train, this is the spot! I’ve been here for a few shoots bfore and it’s definitely a lowkey, quiet area. There’s even a waterfall next door to it that we can go to for some shots as well!

Lyman Orchards

32 Reeds Gap Rd, Middlefield, CT 06455

Boston Commons

115 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

Hard Rock Cafe Rooftop, 7th Floor

22-24 Clinton St, Boston, MA 02109

Main Street Middletown

Melilli Plaza, Middletown CT

Main Street Middletown is a nice nearby area in CT if you’re looking for some “city-esque” photos. There’s a lot of neon signs as well as street signs and stuff we can work with without having to travel somewhere like Boston or NYC. There’s also a lot of brick buildings and such to create an editorial type of photoshoot if you’re going for an urban vibe.
